Songs My Mother Taught Me

Arnold’s mother was a successful opera singer who received her master’s in Psychology just before her untimely death due to breast cancer on September 11th, 2002. His personal tragedy inspired this autobiographical program of how music, faith, and singing have literally saved his life. An emotionally powerful and heartfelt story of loss, healing and forgiveness features the music of Gustav Mahler, Robert Schumann, Carl Bohm, Richard Strauss and the world premiere of “An Open Heart” by composer and fellow PVEA singer Joel Balzun*.
