Come spend time with folks who love the arts as much as you when ArtsWestchester hosts a free Serious Fun GALLERY HOP in White Plains from 6-9pm as part of its Serious Fun Arts Fest (Oct 12-16). Explore the arts council’s latest textile exhibit and revel in the colors of Metropolis Sunrise, a new public art piece by Amanda Browder at 31 Mamaroneck Ave. Stop by the Serious Fun Art Fair at the former Macy’s Backstage at The Galleria and be sure to enjoy the contemporary art on display at One Martine Gallery.

At ArtsWestchester’s Gallery (31 Mamaroneck Ave.)
The Social Fabric features recent works and site-responsive commissions by artists who use textiles and fabrics to explore issues of broad social consequence.
“Metropolis Sunrise” is a monumental textile sculpture by Amanda Browder that transforms the Mamaroneck Avenue facade of ArtsWestchester’s historic building into a pedestal for a colorful, dynamic, 6-story work of art made by many hands.
At The Serious Fun Art Fair (Entrance at Main St. & Court St.)
Art Fair season isn’t over yet! Browse and enjoy the work of more than 200 New York area artists at the Serious Fun Art Fair. The 6000 square foot former Macy’s Backstage space will feature pop-up exhibitions by Blue Door Art Center, New Rochelle Art Association, Luangisa African Gallery, Inspiration Art Group International, and a special presentation curated by Alexandra Rutsch Brock. Find something unique to start or grow your art collection. Plus, don’t miss live mural painting by artists Katie Reidy, Ian Rizzo and Ramiro Davaro-Comas.
At One Martine Gallery (1 Martine Ave.)
Enjoy the opening of our "Food for Thought" exhibition, featuring artworks by Beverly Shipko and Nancy Cohen, with food as the subject matter. From farm to table, fields and gardens, land and sea- food sustains our bodies as art sustains our souls. The gallery will also be featuring works by Simone Kestelman, Marla Beth Enowitz, Dave Bradford, David Tobey and Andre Baranowski.
There will be light bites, cocktails and fun giveaways along the Gallery Hop and all galleries are in walking distance to each other.
