The slow pace of a yin practice lends itself to introspection and a more meditative experience. Holding poses for several minutes allows the practitioner to notice what is happening with their body and mind at that moment.
The chakras are energy centers used as focal points in meditative practice. Each of the 7 chakras represent different characteristics of the subtle body. The chakras are focal points that start at the base of the spine and go up just beyond the crown of the head. Visualizing them can help internalize the journey of spiritual ascent.
Using yin yoga poses we can bring greater balance between the body and mind. Join Sarah for a satisfying 2 hour practice that will allow enough time for a deeply relaxing experience.
